The Arsari Djojohadikusumo Foundation (YAD) stemmed from the social activities carried out
by the family of Hashim Djojohadikusumo. Mrs. Anie Hashim Djojohadiusumo began helping
those in need over 35 years ago. The family eventually formed the Hashim Djojohadikusumo
Family Foundation (YKHD)as the foundation’s activities increased and expanded. In 2009,
YKHD was renamed the Arsari Djojohadikusumo Foundation (YAD). Arsari is an acronym for
the three children of Mr. and Mrs. Hashim Djojohadikusumo – Aryo, Sara and Indra.
Today, the foundation supports programmes and activities in education, social impact, environment and culture, while collaborating with higher education institutions, the government, and other non-profit organisations. Our work reaches across the country, including our sites in West Sumatra (the Dharmasraya Sumatran Tiger Rehabilitation Center), Riau (the Riau Conservation Center), and East Kalimantan (the Orangutan Sanctuary Center).
